We are happy to inform you that Robert Kupisz joined the group of Jurors of the 19th Edition of the Off Fashion Competition.
Polish fashion designer Robert Kupisz was born in a small town Gacki and grew up in Kielce, where he graduated from the high school of fine arts and pedagogical studies. Dance has always been his passion. When he won 3rd place in the World Latin Formation Championships, he decided to establish a ballroom dancing school Step by Step. During 10 years of the school’s operating he coached both national and international champions. At some point, however, he felt it was time for something new. He put all his eggs in one basket, totally changing his life: he sold his apartment in Kielce and moved to London, where he participated in a course in styling organized by famous The Toni & Guy Academy. Having new professional “ace up his sleeve”, he moved to Warsaw, where literally within a few months he won a leading position as a hairstylist. He cooperated with Polish and foreign magazines such as Vogue, Chic, L’Officiel, Elle, Vanity Fair, Madame, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and G.Q. Moreover, he worked with the creators representing Polish art world and cinema: Krzysztof Warlikowski (at the Paris Opera as regards performances Makropolus Case, Iphigenia in Tauris, Parsifal as well as plays (A) pollonia, Storm, Angels in America, Krum), Jan Komas (Suicide Room) and Jerzy Skolimowski (Essential Killing). Each fashion show by Robert Kupisz, so different from the proposals of others, is an awaited event in the fashion world, arouses extreme emotions and is widely commented on as well as discussed by different environments. Aiming at freedom and rejecting beaten conventions, listening to his own instincts are the values highly regarded by the designer. Grunge style is close to his heartas one can have fun and use his/her imagination, combining practically everything together. What matters is the uniqueness and being authentic. His collections forming the rock style and Polish streetwear, resulted in him having both supporters and opponents, clients and critics. Robert Kupisz loves his job and his collection forms, as he often says, “with my clients in mind, they have to like it.”
